Hi there readers, here’s to being warm and safe wherever you are, as you can tell by the title I’m wanting to chat about con artists forgers and likewise that create fakes and illegal reproductions and also the fact I’m yet again moving Collectibulldogs but at least from room to room not home to new home phew !

Let’s start with practical moving ! Ive had a to do list this year so long it’s taken up till just after our wedding 👰 to finish it then the bombshell drops that my wonderful wife now wants the whole collection moved, it maybe a short distance but I’m getting old dag nam it lol this will be the collections 5th move in a year.

Being practical

LETS GET PRACTICAL BUT WHERE TO START

When we first arrived I remember the dismay of some when we said our daughter had taken the largest room (not practical) put the largest bed she could find in it and then be a typical lazy teenager, little did we know this would go on to create issue after issue down the line and here we are a year later, with foot firmly stamped my daughter knows she has to give up the larger room so that mum and dad can have a bedroom.

HAVE A BEDROOM ? You must be thinking but if some remember an old article we had to move the whole collection after it was discovered that the washing machine vibrates the floorboards and in turn vibration happened to the cabinets and the only idea at the time was put the collection in the small room.

Our bed currently is a futon on our front room floor very embarrassing when we have company and doesn’t give off the IM RECOVERING LOOK to my mental health care team but all that’s going to change very soon I’m just not looking forward to yet again moving the collection.

Practical idea !

Taking back well getting the larger room means I can split the space into two with our bed being at the end of the room with window light and enough space to move freely to and from the bed and bedroom, the other half will have my display cabinets going down two sides creating a kind of Galley

this hides the bedroom part and still leaves the room for everyone to be able to reach the walk in wardrobe some very limited spare space we have here, it’s not like the American style more like a large cupboard but it hold a few things and clothes so still needs to be excessable for the girls.

Not so practical is Coo Coos

Collectibulldogs verses Coo Coos

Bonnie the larger of the two felines here is cool around all my collection she stays away and off my display cabinets she doesn’t even bother going in the room where they are housed, Coo Coos the kitten on the other hand is a totally different subject.

Being such a youngen she’s just naturally inquisitive and mischievous but this means she’s tries all the time to try and enter the room and on one occasion she actually got in, luckily for me my wife was using the room for storage and there was enough to keep the kitten occupied until we could grab her and shut the door.

Ganna take some time

Last time we moved the collection it took hours firstly taking off and cleaning the objects, then I use my muster to get the cabinet from A to B then the pieces get re arranged then the process is repeated till the whole collection is moved, we also check fixtures and fittings are still tight.

a days work is ahead and no I’m not looking forward to it I love my collection but I do not love putting my body through the agony it goes through when we keep moving them, and I’m hoping this will be the last time I have to move them till the day they get loaned out or a pop up museum happens, oh well stiff upper lip here and just get cracking on.  Please continue down for Christmas safety awareness it may save your bank account.

Theres nothing more disheartening and embarrassing when someone has managed to pull the wool over your eyes yes it’s even happened to me I remember the idiot quite well lost half my money but managed to get everyone else’s back it lost me friends and trust and I learned the hard way.

Social media’s don’t get conned catfish scam

In the form of a so called rich yet serving officers or privates of the United States Army the fake profile will generally look sparse with many more on the following count to the amount that are following the page this is where the con artist has hurried the set up of the page and only a certain proportion have followed them back, this scam starts with officer being rich but in need of help

that’s you by the way after they believe they’ve got your heart their story will change to getting back to the states losing their home possessions and need money to live, eat, see their pretend children any excuse that tugs at the heart strings for you to send money and believe me when I say THEY BADGER YOU CONSTANTLY

The best thing to do is look out for the signs it’s not always a serving officer it could be a lady looking for new love but you just have to check the profile to see it’s fake, if your not to savvy you may of noticed you’ve talked to such people before then the message goes as the format blocks them YOU SHOULD TOO

Don’t get conned by online fakes get practical

In this digital age we all know that Christmas shopping by a large majority will be done online billions will exchange hands but will your money be going to a real site or a fake online store, IF ITS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT NORMALLY IS this applies with online shopping and it’s the made up crazy deals that draw in victims.

Use trusted websites ones like mine that have a Trustpilot review option check the Ts n Cs and also the privacy policy as rushed ones are normally copied and you can sometimes see it’s not theirs previously, most will not be that computer savvy that they can spot a fake online store.

making this form of fraud even more daunting after the fact nothing’s coming once you’ve paid for it, but as it’s online you’ve gone and not knowingly given your card details to fraudsters whom can wipe your account in seconds ruining your Christmas 🎄

always use reputable websites check reviews and DEFFO age of website (most websites with nothing to hide can have all their website details found, use PayPal when paying unless your card is protected and always insist on track n trace if they give you no tracking within a timeframe you can appeal through PayPal and get a refund read up on their refunds policy and NEVER PAY THROUGH FRIENDS AND FAMILY

Don’t get conned by fakes

Even I’m not an expert in fakes but in my niche I have written articles on what to look for when it comes to pieces like bronzes ceramics there’s already been a surge in fake BESWICK and troika but it goes across the board, from tree lights to toys and even clothes the commercial industry gets hit hard this time of year.

Again use reputable shops and contacts you know do not stray from what you normally do each year and do not fall for deals bargains and other eye catchers if it’s from a place or online store you’ve never heard of and when going online make sure to pick the actual store you want fake lookalikes do not usually have the same web address.

Pay the safest way you can

Listen I’m not going to sugar coat it criminals will be making millions this Christmas and it’s YOUR MONEY from card skimming by so called honest cafe and shop workers to online cold calling where objects you’ve looked at follow you around online (I’m still seeing wedding rings and that happened weeks ago), your card details at Christmas time more should be close to your chest.

Be practical Use PayPal when you can if asked for a bank transfer I’d do a little research and remember some banks charge for overseas transactions, NEVER fall for charm and then pay through friends and family thinking your still covered as your not but with business transactions you get your money back if things go array.

It’s true TWITTER does not get Collectibulldogs they will not verify us and even put the page on some kind of ban, I see this as bullying especially with my mental disorder and haven’t explained why I got this ban to apologise and rectify my ways on the format.

It has not stopped me growing though wiggles is so cute that it only takes a day to catch back up when unfollowers get up and do one yet they are soon taken over by others that do stick around, there’s lots of interesting people on twitter and there’s some really idiotic people too but that’s TWITTER for you I don’t get same treatment from Facebook friends.

Lastly

A big surprise will be in store for those coming this week to document the collection film it and myself I’ve been asked to act like my normal self around the collection and do what I would if they were not here, ERRR ! I do not do anything I open a box make sure it’s real and what I paid for then I just put it on a shelf that would be very boring to watch.

With wiggles poorly again with her paw 🐾 I’ve been wet nursing her for a few days now but with what some call man flu 🤧, I’m hoping this will go by tomorrow (Fingers Crossed) I’m feeling better than I did anyway, wiggles will need a few more days rest lucky old me lol, I’m just jesting she’s loved  immensely and I’m happy to look after her.
