Not anymore for this bow wow I’ve paid my contact

Hi there readers I hope your safe and well as always and I’ve noticed I’ve definitely got the blogging digits back so I’m going to use this time to blog about Mr G my main contact our deal and the elation that not only is it clear now but it’s a massive bill.

I took on this deal not really knowing if I could afford the debt but it’s been worth every penny and I believe mr G has had a distant but integral role in changing my life, I had already started collecting before I met G but nothing was going to stop my jaw from hitting the floor or passing up this amazing offer.

MY CONTACT OH WAY BACK THEN

I met my contact on an auction site his page was full of different bulldog collectibles and I started bidding I can even remember a couple of wins like the 1893 silver medal and some vintage bulldog jewellery, the contact and myself didn’t talk until he sent a free gift and I wrote back to thank him.

Our first deal went sour when an agreed amount of Doulton was sold on after I was told by the contact I had them in the bag and was pretty gutted, I believe the funds used were to buy out another collection from a long term collector and that’s how my bulldog spending spree started with my contact.

HERES A MASSIVE THANK YOU MR G

MY CONTACT MADE IT CHRISTMAS EVERY MONTH

That is very much correct in the fact that either once a week or a month a box costing over £20 a time to ship landed at my front door with lots of bulldog goodies, as I had chosen so many pieces I didn’t know what my contact had packed so each box was very much a surprise to me.

Seeing objects of desire you would want for your collection one day go from being pictures on websites to actual pieces being held, unwrapped carefully and now very much cherished, some of my best pieces came from G including the Victorian toy now at Brighton toy museum on display.

THe size of each box was the same MASSIVE and I think 14 to 20 boxes 📦 arrived in all which now creates over a third of the collectibulldogs collection, that summer was brilliant we spent hundreds of hours going through what he had and saying either yes please or no thank you (I didn’t say no much) and my bill started to rise.

I won’t divulge just how much my contact charged me let’s just say you could of bought a decent sized family car with a similar amount but with the bargains I was getting my mindset just let go of rationality and I went for it, thanks to the generosity of of the contact I was able to offer a monthly fee which I’m so happy to say is now over (no offence to G).

ill Have to start pinching myself soon one of my life’s biggest debts fufilled

MY CONTACT HE KNEW NOTHING

Now I’m not completely sure if the headings totally correct but I’m under the impression that even though we talked about my future ideas G has or had no clue to my start up🤔 from Facebook (he knew about my page)to the website I had made before lee stepped in to create the newer more modern version.

Well now he will know everything and it’s my humbling pleasure to thank him for giving my life meaning he was there during my mental illness lapses chatted with me and still trusted me to pay on time and the amount agreed, it’s been a long journey the monthly amount meant I had to go without but another great thing from This was I gave up drinking completely.

ALL THANKS TO MY CONTACT

So Mr G my best ever contact please understand that all that comes next (on here and in reality) is from you and the amazing deal we done, here’s a list of resources and achievements since that last box arrived over four years ago, let’s start with the resources I’ve created.

On social media I’m on all the big hitters I have created a bulldog collectibles group with over 8000 members, with that my profile is always full that’s 5000 people and then there’s my page with nearly 8k following there, I’m on twitter as @collectibulldog and so far we are in the 150 something thousand tweeters which is an amazing achievement in itself.

There’s all the other formats I use and I know you know I use Instagram as your children had stumbled upon my account, main achievements for me apart from paying in full is the exhibition at Brighton museum in 2017 there was a heart FM news interview and two appearances in the paper, Ammon Holmes can be quoted as saying my collection is one of he’s favs after the content I sent to itv was used live that morning SEE BELOW

WHATS NEXT

I am hoping my contact will continue we have not had a deal for years so I don’t know if he is still in the game, Mr G the plan now is to set up a page to create revenue for mass appraisal and after that and with god willing collectibulldogs can find four trustees have a years auditing and register to become a social enterprise, this means instead of turning what I bought into a business it will eventually become borrowed / loaned out and my daughter the reason for it all gets to keep it all plus whatever I’ve managed to achieve for her.

The ultimate dream is to one day open England’s first bulldog museum the breeds been part of English life for neons now ( hundreds of years ) so should deserve some sort of homage and what better way than to open a building full of memorabilia related to this amazing beautiful breed, I hope you like my ideas 💡

THANK YOU FOR HELPING CREATE THE WORLDS BEST BULLDOG COLLECTION

MAKING CONTACT LASTLY

Lastly I’d like to place my heart on my sleeve and thank you with gratitude I cannot express in an article but the collecting the passion the ideas and achievements have been a massive crutch in the mental well-being of my own self, as you know I have my failings and didn’t know where my place was in life, thanks to you I now know and I’ve finally found my own feet and running with it.

Now I hope that all I’ve created with the added mental health and honesty on a bulldog and antiques loving website will achieve its goal of passing on the inspiration and get one and all to not face their fears but to find a passion and roll with it like I did and have, The contact is so kind he will be closing the deal with a life-size bronze bulldog to add to the collection and legacy he in a way helped create. Until next time readers happy collecting.
